Nathan is the current elder co-chairman and works for the League of Kansas Municipalities in Topeka.
Nathan and his wife, Tara, have three children: Lydia, Grace, and Andrew. The Eberlines have attended Mill Creek since 2007. One of the things that attracted them to Mill Creek was the focus on keeping the message grounded in the Bible. He added, “Just as important, the messages are challenging and thought-provoking. It was also important to Tara and me that the church body sincerely seek God and desire to follow His way.”
Nathan says the spiritual gift that gives him the greatest joy is administration. “I have always found great enjoyment in contributing to a focused discussion on important issues, and the matters of the church are of the deepest value. It is satisfying to consider what God asks of the church and to then work with other godly men to carry out His plans. I also enjoy listening to people share their needs and offering counsel where appropriate.”
Nathan is originally from Iowa, where he and Tara met at Wartburg College. Tara and Nathan both graduated from the University of Iowa College of Law. In his free time, Nathan enjoys reading in coffee shops, pick-up basketball, and discussing politics.
