The purpose of Mill Creek’s Children’s Ministries (KidsLife) is to teach children to know God and grow as His disciples.  Each program is designed to fit into the total goal of seeing children accept Christ as Savior and showing them how to follow the Lord as growing disciples. What parents need to know. Our children’s ministry at Mill Creek reaches kids from nursery through sixth grade.  All children between Birth and 2nd Grade will attend classes at our Gleason campus.  All  children from 3rd through 6th grade will attend classes at our McCoy campus.  Click here for the Shuttle Bus schedule between our two campuses.

All of our Mill Creek Children’s Ministry workers must pass a background screening and receive specific training in working in their KidsLife areas.  We take your child’s spiritual and physical health seriously. Our KidsLife programs are divided by the following age groups:

Nursery – Birth to 18 months. Our nursery is fully staffed for both the 8:45 - 10:00 a.m  and 10:30  - 11:45 a.m. services.with caring adults and senior teens who have passed a background screening and received training for working in our Nursery. 

Walkers – 18 months to 2 1/2 years. Baby-Bible classes for the toddlers are available for both morning services.

Movers & Doers – 2 1/2 years to 3 1/2 years. This class has been developed as a transition class between Baby Bible and Preschool. A little more involved curriculum will give these children a good foundation to move into Preschool but will still allow them to have adequate free activity time.

Pre-School/Pre-Kindergarten – 3 1/2 years up to Kindergarten.
Age appropriate Bible stories and activities are available for both morning services.

Elementary – Kindergarten - 2nd grade. Our Sunday morning program includes KidsLife Small Group Bible Time Sunday School classes for every grade level during each service. 

10:00 – 10:30 a.m. - Combined Kindergarten – 2nd Grade Worship and Missions time

3rd & 4th Grade. This age group meets at our McCoy campus. Buses are available before and after each session.

NexTeens – 5th & 6th Grade. This age group meets at our McCoy campus. Buses are available before and after each session.
8:45 – 10:00 a.m. – Small Group Bible Time with separate classes for boys and girls.

10:15 – 10:30- Combined 3rd/4th and NexTeen Worship and Missions time

10:30 a.m. – 11:45 a.m. – Discipleship Training Hour -Bible study and activities to experience and build up spiritual gifts.

Mill Creek also offers several other opportunities for your children to connect with each other and grow in Christ:

KidsLife MidWeek- Wednesdays 7:00 – 8:10 p.m. Enroll your child now through ChurchLink or call the Children’s Ministries office at 913.441.4444. This program runs from September through April.

MCCC KidsLife Puppet Team is for any child 10 years of age and up.

KidsLife Choir prepares for special performances each year. Practices are held Wednesdays from 6:30 – 7:00 p.m. prior to the MidWeek program. Choir is open to children in K – 6 grade who want to serve through music.

Kids Service Ministry – various service projects are planned throughout the year for children to participate in.

Missions - mission Sundays, Wednesday evening missions presentations, and special giving projects are emphasized throughout the year.

Vacation Bible School and other outreach activities are carried on throughout the year. Registration is available online two months prior to VBS.
